Elisabeth Stettner - violin
Elisabeth Stettner studied with the late Franz Samohyl,
the famous representative of the Viennese Violin School.
In 2005 she finished her Master’s Degree as a student of
Klaus Maetzl from the Alban Berg Quartet at Vienna
University of Music. Elisabeth has participated in
masterclasses with Christian Altenburger, Ernst Kovacic,
Erich Höbarth and Thomas Brandis.
In 2003 Elisabeth had lessons with György Pauk at the
London Master Classes at the Royal Academy of Music.
She moved to London in September 2005 where she is
currently studying on a postgraduate course with Professor
Erich Gruenberg at the Royal Academy of Music.
Elisabeth has been regularly invited to perform as a soloist
in Austria and played recently Mozart’s A-Major concerto
K 219 with Kammerphilharmonie Graz.Elisabeth has been
invited as guest leader by several orchestras and played in
various chamber music groups in Austria, Germany and the
UK. She received scholarships for her studies in London from
the Emanuel-und-Sophie-Fohn-Stiftung and the Fürst-
Dietrichstein’schen-Stfitung in Vienna.
