Rosalind Gladstone -
violoncello
Now a busy
professional cellist, Rosalind began
learning the Cello aged 4. As an undergraduate,
she studied at Cambridge University where she
was a member of the Cambridge University
Music Society's First Orchestra and the Macmillan
Ensemble and performed regularly as a soloist and
chamber musician. Rosalind went on to complete a
Postgraduate Diploma in Performance at Trinity College
of Music, where she studied for two years (2003-2005)
with the eminent cellist, Naomi Butterworth. During her
time at Trinity, she established herself as a founding
member of the Bella Court Trio (Nicolas Burns - Piano,
Robin Martin - Violin), with whom she
has performed on
numerous occasions -most notably, as audience prize
winners in the Cavatina Trust Chamber Music awards
(2004), in the Young Musicians Chamber Music Festival
(Halifax, March 2005), and in the Tchaikovsky Piano Trio
at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon (April 2005).
